The Baltic Sea
The German coast offers over 2.000 kilometres of variable coastal water. Added to this is the wonderful coastline of the Danish Islands (The Danish Southsee). The coastline changes from steep cliffs to flat coast, stone beaches to fine sand. Thanks to the movements of the glaciers from the last Ice-age an interesting relief of Fjords, Bays, Rolling Hills and Moraine shape the landscape. The geographical position of the Baltic Sea presents us with a virtually tide free water, which allows us limitless sailing with no worry about the tide. Depending on the wind one can plan a long run or a short hop to the next Harbour. Many of the Harbours or Marinas provide a good choice of amenities and some offer leisure activities. Long sandy beaches and idyllic bays are inviting us to bathe and relax.
