Frequently asked questions:

Sailing experience is helpful but not a must. Absolute beginner or prospective yacht owner? Everyone should get their money’s worth. If you want to charter Bare Boat, then you must have as a minimum qualification “Day Skipper” and the necessary experience. The Charter company reserves the right to refuse!

Catering costs (cooking on board and/ or restaurant visits), harbour dues and the fuel used. Fuel is to be replaced before end of charter. These costs are shared by the crew; the skipper is catered for and is relieved of the incurred costs. According to taste, these extras are around €100 to €150 per person per week.

You should bring your bedding (sleeping bag, pillow, blanket etc) bath towels, hand towels etc, clothing according to the season. Foul weather wear is not provided, but life jackets will be provided.

The check in/ out times are according to the charter base. In general the start is Saturday morning and ends around 16:00 on Friday. This schedule allows the charter base plenty of time to check, repair and clean the yacht.

Yes the charts are up to date for the respective waters.

Yes. All payments are insured against loss, a cover note will be issued upon receipt of payment.
Cancellation insurance is strongly recommended for such cases as sickness which stops you from travelling, without insurance cover you could get stuck with the costs even when you don’t even start the journey.
